If you think that it is not possible for paper processing and the environment to go hand in hand, then you are wrong! The Mayer- Kuvert-network can show you how! The group has pioneered environmental issues which has resulted in the following steps being taken to ensure that Mail Media products can be relied on.

	Over 10,000 tons of CO2 savings per annum... ...by using solar energy, infrared drying, reduced paper consumption and narrower and thinner window film.
	Responsible protection of resources... ...by using an increased amount of Clipa recycled paper. For every 1,000 DL wallets, the savings are equivalent to - the amount of energy consumed by a mid sized car on a 30 mile journey - the amount of CO2 a car emits over 3 miles - the amount of water used to fill a bathtub.
	Active waste reduction... …through narrower side seams to reduce paper consumption, narrower and thinner window film, by using re-usable boxes rather than disposable boxes, through paper and ink recycling and treating waste water for re-use.
	Water savings... …by harvesting rain water for diluting our water based flexo inks, cleaning glue and ink containers. Waste ink is mixed for re-use for printing opaque patterns and finally, all water is filtered and cleaned before discharge.
	Further savings... ...by increasing the use of recyclable and biodegradable window film, inks and adhesives. By double stacking on the lorry to double the load and reduce journeys. By using infra red drying and special energy saving lamps. By choosing suppliers who share our environmental concerns and supply materials that help to protect the environment.
	MAILmedia envelopes from ecologically sustainable forests... The Mayer-Kuvert-network’s choice of responsible suppliers has been recognised by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®). Through the chain of custody certificate we can guarantee that MAILmedia wallets are manufactured to the FSC® rules. The paper is sourced from ecologically sustainable forests, which avoid damaging the environment by uncontrolled tree felling. The wood is turned into pulp and the pulp into paper all by processes certified by FSC®. The assurance given to customers by MAILmedia having FSC® certification is that responsible paper processing can actually help to protect the environment.
